Day 1: Arrival in Chikmagalur
Pick up from Chikmagalur railway station, and begin your journey by arriving in Chikmagalur and checking into your hotel. Start your exploration with a visit to the Coffee Museum, where you can delve into the history of coffee cultivation in the region, which Chikmagalur is renowned for. Afterwards, head to Mullayanagiri Peak, the highest peak in Karnataka, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. On your way back, stop by Seethalayanagiri, another scenic spot close to Mullayanagiri. In the evening, return to Chikmagalur hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Chikmagalur Local Sightseeing
After breakfast, embark on a full day of sightseeing around Chikmagalur. Start with a visit to Hebbe Falls, a stunning waterfall set amidst lush greenery, perfect for a nature walk and some relaxation. In the afternoon, proceed to Baba Budangiri Hills, known for their scenic beauty and religious significance. Don’t miss the nearby Manikyadhara Falls, which adds to the charm of the hills. After a day of exploration, return to your hotel in Chikmagalur for a restful evening.
Day 3: Chikmagalur to Sringeri and Horanadu
After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Chikmagalur in the morning and drive to Sringeri, a serene town known for its spiritual atmosphere (approximately a 2-hour drive). Visit the Sringeri Sharada Peetham, one of the most revered Advaita Vedanta mathas, and the historic Vidyashankara Temple, which is an architectural marvel. After a spiritual morning, have lunch in Sringeri before continuing your journey to Horanadu, about 1.5 hours away. Upon arrival in Horanadu, visit the Annapoorneshwari Temple, dedicated to the goddess of nourishment. The temple is set in a beautiful valley surrounded by lush greenery. In the evening, attend the aarti at the temple, then check in at your hotel in Horanadu for an overnight.
Day 4: Departure
On the final day, after breakfast, check out from your hotel in Horanadu. Take a short drive to Kalasa to visit the Kalaseshwara Temple, known as Dakshina Kashi, a revered shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. Afterwards, our representative will drop you off at Chikmagalur railway station for your onward journey.
