Day 1: Arrival at Amritsar
Pickup from Bangalore/Chennai/Kochi Airport and transfer to Amritsar Airport. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and relax for a while. Begin your journey by visiting the iconic Golden Temple. It is the holiest shrine in Sikhism and attracts millions of pilgrims and tourists every year. Pay homage to the martyrs of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre at this historical site and explore the memorial garden. Later, return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Amritsar.
Day 2: Amritsar to Katra
After breakfast, check out of your hotel, and you'll embark on a journey from Amritsar to Katra, the gateway to the sacred Vaishno Devi shrine nestled in the Trikuta Mountains of Jammu and Kashmir. This journey offers picturesque views of the scenic landscapes of northern India. Upon reaching Katra, check into your hotel and prepare for the spiritual pilgrimage to Vaishno Devi. Have your dinner and spend the night in your hotel.
Day 3: Vaishno Devi Darshan
Early in the morning, start your trek to the Vaishno Devi Temple, approximately 12 kilometres away, located in the Trikuta mountains. Seek blessings at the holy cave and return to Katra. Spend the night at your hotel.
Day 4: Katra to Srinagar
After breakfast, check out of your hotel and proceed to Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir. Upon arrival, check into your houseboat or hotel. In the evening, enjoy a shikara ride on Dal Lake, admiring the scenic beauty surrounding you. Later, back to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Srinagar.
Day 5: Srinagar Sight Seeing
After breakfast, embark on a sightseeing tour of Srinagar. Visit Mughal Gardens, Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh, and Chashme Shahi. Visit the Shankaracharya Temple, situated atop a hill. Visit the old city markets in the evening for some shopping. Later, back to the hotel for an overnight stay in Srinagar.
Day 6: Srinagar to Gulmarg
After breakfast, drive to Gulmarg, known for its picturesque landscapes. Upon reaching Gulmarg, embark on an exhilarating Gondola ride, one of the tallest cable car systems in the world, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks. Explore the picturesque Gulf Golf Course and enjoy optional activities, including horseback riding or trekking. Later, drive back to Srinagar for an overnight stay.
Day 7: Srinagar to Phalgam
After breakfast, depart for Pahalgam, a scenic town known for its lush greenery and beautiful landscapes. Visit Betab Valley and enjoy the stunning landscapes. Explore Aru Valley, surrounded by snow-capped peaks and verdant meadows. Later, drive back to Srinagar for the night.
Day 8: Departure
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and transfer to Srinagar Airport for your return flight to Bangalore/Chennai/Kochi, concluding your memorable tour.
