Tour Description

Lakshadweep is a tropical archipelago of 36 atolls and coral reefs in the Laccadive Sea, off the coast of Kerala, India. Not all of the islands are inhabited, and only a few are open to visitors (permits required). Kavaratti, one of the more developed islands, is home to dozens of mosques, including the ornately decorated Ujra Mosque, as well as the Kavaratti Aquarium, which showcases regional fish, sharks, and coral species.

Lakshadweep Islands are about 32 square kilometres and are an amalgamation of 36 different islands, out of which 26 are untouched by human occupation. The lush green islands are rich in vegetation, and the beautiful combination of islands is also called the Emerald Islands.

It is located in the Arabian Sea and is at a distance of approximately two hundred and twenty-four to four hundred and forty kilometres from the city situated along the coast of the southern state of Kerala, Kochi. Lakshadweep is probably the only chain of coral islands in the subcontinent.

Day 1: Arrival in Agatti

Arrive in Agatti and check into your accommodation. Spend the day settling in, exploring the local area, and enjoying the scenic views of the turquoise waters. Head out to explore Agatti Island. Visit Agatti Beach, a picturesque stretch of white sand fringed by swaying palm trees and crystal-clear water. Take a refreshing dip in the sea or simply relax on the shore, soaking in the tranquil ambience. In the evening, enjoy a stroll along the beach as the sun sets over the horizon, have your dinner, and stay overnight at your accommodation.

Day 2: Bangaram Island

Wake up early for an exciting day trip to Bangaram Island, often referred to as the Jewel of Lakshadweep. Board a boat from Agatti and cruise across the turquoise waters, admiring the panoramic views of the surrounding islands along the way. Upon arrival at Bangaram Island, be greeted by its pristine beaches and vibrant coral reefs. Spend the morning snorkeling in the shallow lagoon waters, where you'll encounter an array of colorful marine life, including tropical fish, corals, and maybe even sea turtles. Take some time to relax on the soft sands, sunbathe, or explore the island's interior, where you'll find lush coconut groves and picturesque lagoons. Depart from Bangaram Island and return to Agatti in the late afternoon. Spend the rest of the day with a massage or sipping cocktails by the beach. Back to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Agatti Island

Start your day with a delicious breakfast at your accommodation. Explore more of Agatti Island. Visit places of interest such as the Agatti Lagoon, known for its calm waters and ideal conditions for water sports like kayaking and windsurfing. Enjoy a traditional lunch at a local eatery, sampling authentic Lakshadweep cuisine featuring fresh seafood, coconut, and aromatic spices. Spend the afternoon at your own pace, indulging in your favourite beach activities or embarking on a guided tour of the island's cultural and historical landmarks. Visit attractions such as the Agatti Island Museum, which showcases the rich heritage and traditions of the Lakshadweep Islands. As the sun begins to set, head to one of the island's scenic viewpoints to witness a breathtaking sunset over the Indian Ocean. Capture the magical moment with your camera, or simply sit back and soak in the beauty of nature's spectacle. Back to the hotel. Have your dinner and stay overnight.

Day 4: Departure from Agatti

After breakfast, check out of your accommodation and transfer to Agatti Airport for your departure flight. Board your flight with a heart full of memories and a promise to return someday to this tropical paradise.
