Tour Description

Hampi once the magnificent capital of the Vijayanagara Empire, is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It boasts breathtaking ruins of temples, palaces, and other architectural marvels, reflecting the grandeur of the empire that flourished between the 14th and 16th centuries.

Badami is renowned for its rock-cut cave temples dating back to the 6th. and 7th centuries. These temples, carved out of red sandstone cliffs, are dedicated to Hindu deities and represent the early Chalukyan architectural style.

Aihole is often referred to as the "Cradle of Indian Architecture" due to its numerous ancient temples and architectural experiments. The temples in Aihole showcase a blend of different architectural styles, including Chalukyan, Dravidian, and Nagara, dating back to the 4th to 12th centuries.

Pattadakal is another UNESCO site. World Heritage The site is renowned for its group of temples built during the reign of the Chalukya dynasty in the 7th and 8th centuries. These temples exhibit a harmonious blend of various architectural styles, including Dravidian and Nagara, making them a significant site for the study of temple architecture in India.

Tour Description


Day 1: Arrival

Pick up from Hubli Airport/Railway Station, then drive to Hampi. On arrival, check-in at your hotel and relax. After that, visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hampi, including the Virupaksha Temple, Vittala Temple, and Hazara Rama Temple. In the evening, explore the local markets and enjoy the sunset at the Hampi bazaar. Later, back to the hotel for dinner stay overnight.


Day 2: Hampi Sightseeing

After having breakfast, explore more of Hampi’s attractions, such as the Lotus Mahal and the Elephant Stables. Visit the Royal Enclosure, Queen’s Bath. In the evening, explore the Tungabhadra River and take a coracle ride. Enjoy a traditional cultural show. Later, back to the hotel for dinner overnight stay.


Day 3: Hampi - Aihole - Pattadakal

After having breakfast, check out from the hotel, and drive to Aihole, known as the Cradle of Indian Architecture. On arrival, check into the hotel and freshen up. Later, visit the Durga Temple, Lad Khan Temple, and the famous Ravanaphadi Cave, a rock-cut temple dedicated to Lord Shiva known for its unique architecture and historical significance. In the afternoon, proceed to Pattadakal, a UNESCO world heritage site. Explore the stunning group of temples, including the Virupaksha Temple, one of the largest and most impressive temples in Pattadakal, Mallikarjuna Temple, and Papanath Temple. Later, back to Aihole for a night's stay.


Day 4: Aihole- Badami

After having breakfast, check out from the hotel, and drive to Badami. check-in at your hotel. After that, visit the Badami Cave Temples, carved out of sandstone cliffs. Explore the four cave temples dedicated to various Hindu deities and Jain Tirthankaras. In the evening, visit the Bhoothanath Temple, and enjoy the serene surroundings of Agastya Lake. Overnight stay in Badami.


Day 5: Departure

After breakfast, check out from the hotel, you'll be dropped off at Hubli Airport, Railway Station for your onward journey.
