Day 1: Guwahati to Shillong
Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, you'll be warmly greeted by our representative who will drive you to Shillong, approximately 120 km away, which takes about 4 hours. En route, you can visit Umiam Lake, where you can indulge in water sports activities (a nominal fee is required). Upon reaching Shillong, check in at your hotel. Spend the evening leisurely, exploring the local surroundings or simply relaxing in the pleasant ambience of Shillong.
Day 2: Shillong to Cherrapunjee
After an early breakfast, embark on a journey to Cherrapunjee, renowned as one of the wettest places on Earth. Enjoy a scenic drive through picturesque landscapes, passing by stunning waterfalls and gorges. Key highlights of your visit include the breathtaking Seven Sisters Falls, the fascinating Mawsmai Caves, and the scenic Thangkharang Park. You’ll also stop at Shillong Peak and Elephant Falls on your way. Arrive in Cherrapunjee and check into your resort. Spend the evening enjoying the natural beauty of your surroundings before an overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.
Day 3: Cherrapunjee to Mawlynnong
After breakfast, set off for a 2-hour drive to Mawlynnong, celebrated as the cleanest village in Asia. Located about 90 km from Shillong, this charming village offers a glimpse into a pristine environment with attractions such as the Living Root Bridge, picturesque waterfalls, orchards, and unique boulder formations. Explore the village and immerse yourself in its natural and cultural beauty. In the evening, return to Shillong and check in at your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure.
Day 4: Shillong Sightseeing
Take a city tour of Shillong. Shillong - The gorgeous city offers amazing tourist spots. The city’s own Ward’s Lake is popular for short garden walks & boating. Lady Hydari Park is a Japanese-style landscaped park endowed with stretches of roses & exquisite flowers. The Mini Zoo adjacent to the park has several birds & mammals. The next stop is the Shillong Golf Course, one of the largest in Asia charted amidst thick pine groves & rhododendron trees. The ‘Gleneagle of the East’ lies in the centre of a plateau surrounded by Khasi hills. The State Museum & Don Bosco Museum displays the lifestyle and heritage of the people of Meghalaya & the Northeast. Overnight at Hotel in Shillong.
Day 5: Shillong to Guwahati and Departure
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and transfer to Guwahati Airport/Railway Station for onward journey.
