Day 1: Arrival in Gangtok
Pickup from Bangalore/Chennai/Kochi airport and transfer to Bagdogra airport. After a warm welcome, our representative will drive you to Gangtok and escort you to the hotel. Check-in at the hotel. Freshen up and relax for some time. In the evening, you can go for a stroll on the MG Marg. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Gangtok
Start your day with a leisurely breakfast at the hotel before heading to Tsomgo Lake and the revered Baba Harbhajan Mandir. The journey to Tsomgo Lake offers breathtaking mountain landscapes, making the drive even more scenic. Tsomgo Lake is a sacred body of water that exudes tranquilly and pristine beauty, reflecting different hues with each passing season. In winter, it turns into a frozen wonderland, while spring brings it to life with colourful blooms adorning its surroundings. The Baba Harbhajan Mandir pays homage to the courageous Indian soldier of the same name, who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving near the Nathula Pass in eastern Sikkim. This shrine stands as a poignant reminder of bravery amidst the majestic Himalayan backdrop. Later, return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Gangtok – Lachung
After breakfast, head to Lachung, a picturesque mountain village surrounded by snow-capped peaks. Lachung is known for its stunning waterfalls, sparkling streams, and orchards filled with apricot, peach, and apple trees. The Lachung Chu River flows through the middle of the village, dividing it in two. On the way, we will stop at Singhik View Point to take in breathtaking views of Mount Silnoulchu and the impressive Seven Sisters Waterfall. Upon reaching Lachung, we'll check in at the hotel, freshen up, and relax. You can also visit Lachung Gompa, a monastery dating back to 1880, located in an apple orchard. Additionally, you can explore the handicraft centre to purchase beautifully woven blankets and rugs as souvenirs. Dinner will be served at the hotel, and we will stay overnight there.
Day 4: Lachung – Yumthang Valley
Embark on an enchanting journey to Yumthang Valley, fondly known as 'The Valley of Flowers', where the morning light reveals a breathtaking landscape adorned with a plethora of vibrant blooms amidst the Himalayan backdrop. Wander through this botanical paradise, accompanied by the soothing melody of a gentle river, and admire the pastoral charm of yaks, goats, and horses grazing peacefully in the verdant meadows. Later, return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5: Lachung – Pelling
Early morning drive to Pelling. This drive offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas, lush valleys, and charming villages. En route, visit the Seven Sisters Waterfalls and the Naga Waterfalls to enjoy some refreshing natural beauty. After a long drive of more than 6 hours, take a break and spend the rest of the day relaxing. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 6: Pelling - Darjeeling
After breakfast at the hotel, visit the wonderful attractions of Pelling. Spend some time at the mesmerising Kanchenjunga waterfalls to rejuvenate your body and mind. It is surrounded by greenery and is an ideal place to have some relaxed moments. Next on the list are Sky Walk, Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdentse Ruins and a bird park. Later, transferred to Darjeeling, the Queen of Hills. On the journey to Darjeeling, in some places, the drive is not so smooth, but it’s worth it as you will drive past lovely green gardens, gushing rivers, old bridges and traditional villages. Reach the hotel in Darjeeling and rest for a while. Then visit the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR). This toy train was accorded UNESCO World Heritage Site status in December 1999. Afterwards, go back to the hotel, have dinner, and stay overnight.
Day 7: Darjeeling
Start from the hotel at around 4 am to reach the magnificent Tiger Hill (2590 m), which is the highest point in Darjeeling. It offers breathtaking views of the sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga. While coming back from the hill, make a stop at the Batasia Loop, a spiral railway track at a beautiful location, and Ghoom Monastery. Take a break for breakfast at the hotel. Now continue your journey with a visit to the Japanese Temple & Peace Pagoda, a Buddhist pilgrimage site known for its wonderful traditional Japanese architecture. Other attractions that will be covered are Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (closed on Thursday), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tenzing Rock, Ropeway, and Chitrey Tea Garden (outer view). In the evening, enjoy a leisurely walk on Mall Road and Chow Rasta. Later, return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 8: Darjeeling - Departure
After having breakfast at the hotel, please check out. Our representative will drive you to Bagdogra Airport for your departure to Bangalore/Chennai/Kochi Airport.
