Its vibrant festivals, diverse cuisine, and traditional crafts reflect this rich cultural heritage. Gangtok is a popular tourist destination for its natural beauty and serene monasteries. The Rumtek Monastery, with its intricate architecture and religious significance, is a prominent Tibetan Buddhist monastery in the region. Tsomgo Lake, also known as Changu Lake, is a stunning glacial lake about 40 kilometres from Gangtok, surrounded by snow-capped mountains.

In addition to Gangtok, the state of Sikkim offers other enchanting destinations such as Pelling, renowned for the magnificent views of the Kanchenjunga mountain range and the sacred Khecheopalri Lake. Darjeeling, a charming hill station in West Bengal, is another popular destination known for its tea gardens, colonial architecture, and the famous Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Tour Description


Day 1: Arrival-Gangtok

Arrive at Bagdogra airport, after a warm welcome, our representative will drive you to Gangtok, and escort you to the hotel. Check-in at the hotel. Freshen up and relax, for some time. In the evening, you can go for a stroll on the MG Marg. Stay overnight at the hotel.


Day 2: Gangtok

After breakfast at the hotel, and then at around 8: 30 am leave for, then drive to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Harbhajan Mandir. Tsomgo Lake is a sacred lake that attracts tourists from far and wide. It is a high-altitude lake which is soaked in pristine beauty. With different seasons it reflects different hues. During winter it gets frozen while in spring it brims with life with colourful flowers in its surroundings. Baba Harbhajan Mandir or the shrine was built in honour of a courageous Indian soldier named Baba Harbhajan Singh. He died due to extreme weather conditions while carrying supplies to a remote post near the Nathula Pass in eastern Sikkim. Afterwards back to hotel overnight stay in Gangtok.


Day 3: Gangtok – Lachung

After breakfast, drive to Lachung (8800 ft), a mesmerizing mountain village hemmed in by snowcapped mountain peaks. It is famous for its lovely waterfalls, glistening streams, and apricot, peach and apple orchids. The Lachung Chu River passes through the middle of the village slicing it into two. En route, halt at Singhik View Point to capture amazing views of Mount Silnoulchu and the fierce Seven Sisters Waterfall which offers awe-inspiring views. Take a break for lunch at Namok and later a tea break at Chungthang. After reaching Lachung, check in to the hotel. Freshen up and relax. You can also explore Lachung Gompa which dates back to 1880 and is set amidst an apple orchard. You can also visit the handicraft centre to buy beautifully woven blankets and rugs as souvenirs. Enjoy a delicious dinner which will be served at the hotel itself. Stay overnight at the hotel in Lachung.


Day 4: Lachung – Yumthang Valley

Leave for Yumthang Valley, also called ‘The Valley of Flowers’ early in the morning. It is a gorgeous valley with sheer greenery encompassing a variety of flowers and trees. A charming river passes through this valley. The sights of yaks, goats and horses grazing in the grassy plains are sights to behold. Post lunch, drive back to Gangtok. On the way back, treat your senses with the beauty of Bheema and Twin Waterfalls. Check in to the hotel at Gangtok. Dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.


Day 5: Gangtok – Pelling via Namche and Ravangla

After breakfast, drive to Pelling. Visit Temi Tea Garden, Chardham and Sai Temple at Namche and also visit Buddha Park at Ravangla. The drive from Gangtok to Pelling is refreshing as you will pass through the tea gardens, mountains, and picturesque surroundings. At Pelling witness the unparalleled beauty of the world-famous Kangchenjunga. The town also has age-old monasteries on its attraction list. Check-in at the hotel in Pelling. After a long drive of more than 6 hours you might feel tired, so take a rest and spend the rest of the day at leisure. stay overnight in Pelling.


Day 6: Pelling-Darjeeling

After breakfast at the hotel, visit the wonderful attractions of Pelling. Spend some time at the mesmerizing Kanchenjunga waterfalls to rejuvenate your body and mind. It is surrounded by greenery and is an ideal place to have some relaxed moments. Next on the list is Sky Walk and Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdentse Ruins and a bird park. Later, transferred to Darjeeling, the Queen of Hills. On the journey to Darjeeling, in some places, the drive is not so smooth but it’s worth it as you will drive past lovely green gardens, gushing rivers, old bridges and traditional villages. Reach the hotel in Darjeeling, complete the checking procedure and Just a 2 min walk to visit Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR) This toy train was accorded UNESCO World Heritage site status in December 1999. Later, back to the hotel to have dinner, and for an overnight stay.


Day 7: Darjeeling

Start from the hotel at around 4 am to reach the magnificent Tiger Hill (2590 m) which is the highest point of Darjeeling. It offers breathtaking views of the sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga. While coming back from the Hill, halt at the Batasia Loop, a spiral railway track at a beautiful location and Ghoom Monastery. Take a break for breakfast at the hotel. Now continue your journey, with a visit to the Japanese Temple & Peace Pagoda, a Buddhist pilgrimage known for its wonderful traditional Japanese architecture. Other attractions that will be covered are Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (closed on Thursday), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tenzing Rock, Ropeway and Chitrey Tea Garden (outer view). afterwards. In the evening, enjoy a leisurely walk on Mall Road and Chow Rasta. Back to the hotel, Stay overnight at Darjeeling.


Day 8: Darjeeling-Departure

After breakfast at the hotel, check out from the hotel, and our representative will drop you at Bagdogra airport/railway station. For your onward journey.
