Day 1: Chennai-Kanchipuram - Mahabalipuram
Once you arrive in Chennai, you will be escorted to your hotel in Mahabalipuram. Check in and relax for a while. En route, you will be able to enjoy a brief halt at Kancheepuram, one of the seven sacred cities in India. From there, proceed towards the famous Shankaracharya Seer in Kancheepuram. While on this journey, you will also get a chance to shop for gorgeous and exquisite Kanchipuram silk sarees. After that amazing tour of the age-old town of Kanchipuram, continue the journey towards Mahabalipuram Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Mahabalipuram- Sightseeing and back to Chennai
Enjoy a delicious breakfast spread in your hotel this morning and complete the checkout formalities. Later, step out for a thrilling tour of the age-old cities of Mahabalipuram and Kanchipuram. Mahabalipuram is acclaimed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its spectacular rock-cut temples, where you can learn not only about the past of this amazing town but also get an insight into our entire country's history. Visits the Mahishasurmardini Caves, Shore Temple, Krishna Mandapam, and Arjun’s Penance. Afterwards, head to Panch Rathas, a glorious cluster of monolithic temples. Besides all the temples, this town is also well known for its Crocodile Farm. Also, the School of Art & Sculpture here is worth the visit. Finally, a visit to the Snake Venom Extracting Center will give your tour a thrilling end. Finally, get transferred to the Chennai airport /railway station, for your onward journey.
